You have complete control of your data
Your beautiful presentations are safe with us. You have complete control of your account and can instantly delete your account and/or presentations when logged in. What’s more, you can always reach out to our very friendly Support team for help with deletion.
Data Access Restrictions
Although your presentations are both interesting and beautifully made, we will not access them, or any of your other proprietary data for that matter. The privacy and integrity of our users and customers are our highest priority and we adhere to strict access controls and maintain the principle of least privilege for all our employees and systems.
Data Privacy
We want to give you the best tools to present, engage and interact with your audience and we will never use your data for any other purpose than to provide you with the best service possible. We will not use your data for profiling, and we will never sell, transfer or otherwise disclose your data unless we do it protecting your privacy rights.
EU-hosting
Mentimeter offers multi-regional hosting. By default, customer data at rest is hosted in the EU, meaning that your data is protected under EU data privacy regulations.
We aim to provide our customers with complete control of their data and understand that some customers may want to host their data in the US. If you’re an Enterprise customer and would like your data to be hosted in the US, please contact our Sales team for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I delete my data at any given time?
Yes, and it’s super easy! You can instantly delete your account and presentations simply by logging in to your account and pressing the right buttons. We will also delete your data upon request and you can reach out to our Support team at hello@mentimeter.com and request to delete your account and/or presentations.
As an organization, how can we maintain control of our personal data?
You have full control of any data you provide to Mentimeter. If your organization has a Team Workspace, your admin(s) can administer all accounts within the Workspace, including deleting user data, accounts, and account access. The admin(s) may also reach out to us for help with any such request. And don’t forget, your users can always delete their accounts and presentations when logged in themselves.
How does Mentimeter handle government requests for personal data?
If we were to receive a government access request we would only disclose personal data if strictly legally required to do so and take all reasonable efforts to redirect the authority to request the data directly from the relevant customer and promptly inform the affected user of such a request, unless legally prohibited to do so.
As regards US government data requests, Mentimeter is a Swedish company and therefore not eligible to receive processes issued under applicable US regulations (such as Section 702 of the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) and has to this day not received any such access requests.
What personal data do I need to provide to use Mentimeter?
Very little! The only personal data required for us to provide you with Mentimeter is the personal data we need to set up your account (standard account information such as your name, email address, and device information).
How do you handle international data transfers?
We employ the European Commission's standard contractual clauses as of 4 June 2021 in relation to all our suppliers where required to do so. In addition to contractual commitments, we undertake a wide range of additional security measures. Keeping our customers' and users' data secure is of the highest importance to us and we have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that all data is handled securely.
